1. Illustrated Editions — Our Catalog

Braided Ink publishes a curated catalog of illustrated editions. Every book in our catalog falls into one of two buckets: works in the public domain, or works for which we have signed agreements with the author, publisher, or rights-holder granting us the right to publish the book and to generate and distribute scene art alongside it.

2. AI-Generated Scene Images

Scene images on Braided Ink are created by AI models from scene descriptions our team prepares for each book in the catalog. These images are original, interpretive works — they are not reproductions of any copyrighted illustrations or artwork. They are licensed to readers for personal use within the platform.

3. Our Commitment to Rights Holders

Braided Ink respects intellectual property and is committed to working constructively with authors, publishers, and other rights holders. Our illustrated editions model is designed to benefit readers and rights holders together: every title in our catalog is one we have the rights to publish, and the same is true of the scene art we generate for it.
