Accessibility

A book should open for everyone who wants to read it. Accessibility is part of how we treat readers, not a box we tick at the end, and we build for it on every page.

The standard we build to

We build the public parts of Braided Ink to the WCAG 2.1 AA standard. Automated accessibility checks run against every public page before each release, so the kinds of problems those tools can catch are found before they reach you. We keep working to raise the floor over time.

Where we still have work to do

We would rather name our gaps than hide them. Inside the reader, full screen-reader pagination that follows the page you are on is work we are still doing. Today the reader presents the complete text of your book in reading order, which is a solid reading experience on its own, and we are building toward the rest.

Reaching us

If something gets in your way, we want to hear about it. Our support page is the one place to reach us, and we will do what we can to help.
